Positive: Beautiful building with incredible marble structure and amazing ornate fresco ceilings in some locations. There is a beautiful walk to a private pool and seaside sun lounging area with dining and bar facilities. Staff incredibly attentive, really couldn’t have asked for more, one of the best experiences Ive had in any hotel.

Positive: The location, view, style, staff of this hotel is beyond amazing! I wish I could remember the name of the precious young lady who checked us in as she was the highlight of our stay. She was beyond a 5-star employee! VERY professional, sweet, charming, efficient, pleasant and helpful! The room was exquisite! Views, breathtaking! The breakfast (which were the only meals we ate), was ok. Nothing to write home about. The staff, inattentive. I picked up on those that had been to breakfast seemingly like several times, we treated very well. We only went 3 times. Food was decent, nothing spectacular.
Negative: The breakfast was just ok. see comments above.

Positive: My wife and I stayed for three nights for our wedding anniversary. I'm so pleased we stayed here; the hotel is absolutely stunning. Full of beautifully decorated bars and restaurants . The breakfast options were fantastic and the bridge/steps down to the beach/restaurants equally wonderful. Our room had a lovely view across the bay looking towards Portofino. I glad we chose to stay here in Santa Margherita rather than in Portofino - so much more to do

Positive: The hotel is so beautiful. It’s like a fairytale. The staff were so friendly and helpful, shout out to Prim who looked after us with fabulous tables with views. Mark the hotel manager couldn’t do enough for us also. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was beautiful and well worth the money for a special occasion. Breakfast every morning was so beautiful and in a magnificent room. We loved every minute of our stay.
Negative: It’s a little out of town with a steep walk up. No taxis when we arrived at the train station, so be prepared to walk to the hotel up a fairly steep hill, it’s not far but taxing. Taxis were ridiculously priced and sparse , best options were buses and trains. A courtesy bus into town would have been fantastic, as pretty much all the restaurants are in town.
Summary: Fairytale hotel. Forget White Lotus.

Positive: It’s amazing experience stay in this with culture and history. Professional staff and services! I regret that did not have enough time to try all of the facilities like swimming pool and related. But visited hotel’s beach and pool, it’s a wonderful garden based with the vest view.
Negative: Cannot name anything I don’t like.
